We had a fantastic race day on Sunday, with 6-8 pilots flying, and 20 or so excited spectators. The course was great, with lots of high speed flying. We will be modifying the air gates for the next event to make them higher (the number of broken props on the gates was… impressive!)

There’s been a lack of updates because I’ve been wrestling with the blog software and have decided to cut and run to a different platform. Soon as the new site is ready, usdra.org will redirect to it. All comments and URLs will remain active.
Just got back from a phenomonal day down at Drydock Avenue for the International Drone Day meetup in Boston. About 60 enthusiasts got together for lots of great chitchat, exchange of cards and ideas, and some quick around-the-office
Everyone had a great time, and we’ve definitely helped boost the community by making new connections and
exchanging new ideas. Hopefully as the weather improves, we’ll get together for some awesome flying.
The site continues to mature, and particular thanks for the feedback from several folks who offered some great suggestions. We’ve added Disqus to the blog posts and to the Glossary, Calendar, and Classes pages. Feel free to use those to give feedback on materials on those pages.
The USDRA is looking for several contributors to help organize the Class definitions, as well as help with outreach and community planning. If you’re interested in joining, please drop some mail to email@example.com.
